You will be discharged in 48 hours. Then you go home.

The visiting nurse comes once, if you're lucky. You get a fifteen-minute pediatrician appointment when your baby is three days old, in a waiting room, with a car seat you can't figure out and a body that doesn't feel like yours. And then you are on your own.

You are on your own at 3am when the latch isn't working. You are on your own when the crying doesn't stop and you don't know if it's normal. You are on your own when you can't remember the last time you ate something that wasn't standing up over the sink.

Everyone told you it takes a village. Nobody told you where to find one.

Held is different. For the first three months of your baby's life, I come to your home.

Not a nurse. Not a different doctor each time. Me. I weigh your baby on your kitchen counter. I answer your text at 9 pm on a Sunday, because you are not a patient number, you are a family I know.

And everything else you need in those three months, lactation support, meals, mental health care, infant CPR, I have already arranged, and I have already paid for. You make one call. That's it. Everything else is handled.

Your pediatrician, at home

Weekly check-ins by text, and my number when you need it. Not a portal. Not an answering service. Me.

Direct Access to me

Two in-home visits with an IBCLC lactation consultant, because "call this number" is not help at 3am on day four.

Feeding support that comes to you

Care for you, not just the baby

A private session with a perinatal mental health specialist, and I check in on how you are doing at every single visit, not just at the two-month appointment. If something comes up, you already have someone.

Food that arrives

Two weeks of postpartum meals, delivered. You will not be cooking. You will not be asking anyone to bring you a casserole.

Confidence for everyone who holds your baby

A private infant CPR and choking class, in your home, for you, your partner, and the grandparents.

An in-home newborn session with a photographer I trust, while they're still this small.

That is not a marketing line. It is the honest limit of what one pediatrician can do while actually showing up at your door. Held is not a package you buy, it is a small number of families I take care of personally, and when the spots are gone, they're gone.
